On 24 April, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli, published and announced the new protocol to be adopted within the construction sites, to contain the spread of Covid-19. The "Agreed protocol for the regulation of measures to combat and contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the working environments of the construction sector - Guidelines for the construction sector", as indicated in the text, "is valid, pursuant to and for the effects of current and future government decrees related to the current Covid-19 pandemic, until the duration of the pandemic itself" and "declines specific requirements to ensure the protection of the health and safety of workers and to prevent contagion from Covid-19".
The objective of the Protocol is to provide operational guidance "aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the precautionary containment measures taken to combat the Covid-19 epidemic" at the construction site and in other workplaces of construction companies in order to protect:
Safety on site
All those who work on the site must comply with certain instructions, among which are those most important for the safety of the person:
In addition, the employer must ensure the daily sanitation of changing rooms, work vehicles, driver's cabins or cockpits and common areas by restricting access. In the event of a positive Covid-19 person on the construction site, all areas of the construction site (work areas, changing rooms, tools and common areas) must be cleaned in good time.
